Parade Information

About the Parade

Join us for our 59th anniversary parade to celebrate and promote the cultural pride of Puerto Ricans in Massachusetts. Our goal is to provide an exciting and informative experience for all attendees. The parade will feature political committees, health organizations, sponsors, local businesses, dance groups, and motor vehicle clubs.

 

If you’re interested in participating, please review the information below regarding registration, fees, and the day-of check-in process. Then submit a completed Parade Application, Deadline: July 11, 2026

​​​​Registration Categories & Fees 
Note: The registration fees help cover parade expenses and allow us to continue providing free events to the public. Thank you for your support!

Single Private Vehicles

Fee: $50.00​

  • Accepting 10 Single Private Vehicles

  • Must be decorated in a traditional/cultural theme

  • Or be willing to provide music for a dance group.

Dance & Band Groups

Fee: $150.00​

  • Traditional/cultural performances

  • 1 Vehicle in parade

    • To provide music, store equipment & supplies, emergency kits, or transportation during parade ​

Latino Small Businesses

Fee: $200.00​

  • Local & Non Local Businesses

Bicycle Groups

Fee: $200.00​

  • 10 Bicycles per group 

  • Must be decorated in a traditional/cultural theme

Advertisement Vehicles

Fee: $200.00​

  • The fee represents the cost per vehicle

  • Applicants can apply more than once

Floats

Fee: $250.00

  • Fee reserves a Float slot 

  • Applicant must rent their own float

    • PRFMA does not provide floats

  • Legal Vehicle Registration and License required for BPD inspection​

  • Must be decorated in a traditional/cultural or organization theme

Political Committees

Fee: $300.00​

  • City Officials

  • Local & State wide candidates

  • March Only - No Vehicles

Community Organizations

Fee: $300.00​

  • Local organizations

  • 25 representatives allowed in parade

  • 1 Vehicle allowed

Car & Motorcycle Clubs

Fee: $400

  • Accepting 4 Car Clubs;

  • 10 Cars allowed per club​​

  • The first four car clubs to pay will participate in the parade

  • Qualified Vehicle Categories: Jeep, Honda, Toyota, Mazda 

  • Accepting 1 Motorcycle Club​

  • 10 motorcycles allowed

  • The first club to pay will participate in the parade

Parade Members Info

  • Check-in Time: 8:30am

  • Parade Start Time: 12pm

  • The parade will be in two stages with different starting locations

Stage 1

Check-in Location:

1318 Columbus Ave; off Cedar St.​

Stage 1 Includes:

  • Pedestrian groups

  • Sponsors

  • Floats

  • Advertisement vehicles

  • Bicycle groups

Stage 2

Check-in Location: 

75 Malcolm X Blvd; off Columbus Ave

Stage 2 Includes:

  • Motorized Vehicles

  • Car Clubs

  • Motorcycle Clubs

  • Single Private Vehicle​​

Vehicles must park and wait on the right side of the street in front of the Reggie Lewis Center, extending to Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, for a Boston Police vehicle inspection before joining the parade procession.
